Everyday Excel is used extensively by businesses of all sizes to analyse data. Increasingly, individuals in many different roles are understanding the benefits of using data to organise and manipulate data to enable better decision-making. This one-day course builds on basic spreadsheeting skills and helps participants learn how to create a systematic and efficient approach to working with data in Excel. Using a real-world scenario, participants will have learnt how to prepare, sort, filter, de-duplicate, and analyse data for decision-making.
Skills / Knowledge
- Prepare data – Use tables to create usable structures
- Sort data – based on keys and conditions
- Create list subtotals – both single level and multi-level, learn to group and outline data
- Filter data – by column and specific conditions, create lists and use the slicer
- De-duplicate data – use array formula, identify and remove duplicates
- Analyse data – Use conditional, lookup and database functions to enable better PIVOT table outcomes
