S11 Mining Induction

Recognised Standard 11 was established in 2011 to specify the ways in which an acceptable level of risk is achievable for all persons working in and around coal mining operations. It assists sites to establish and maintain a training system which includes processes for identifying and delivering competent, safe and efficient work teams. Attendees of this AIM course will have studied the six ares of the standard 11 and will be ready to progress to the workplace skills validation phase. It was determined that 6 Nationally Recognised units of competency would form the basis for induction level training to prepare Coal Mine Workers (CMWs) for the hazards and changing environment to be experienced within coal mining operations.
