Persuading someone to do something can be complex. It can require different skills, depending entirely on who the subject is and what we want them to do. Participants who have taken this course will have learnt to identify their message, analyse the audience and then harness this knowledge to produce compelling and influential copy. Using a range of techniques and styles, they will be able to express ideas in ways that engage audiences and inspire them into action.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Leverage techniques for expressing a creative concept and checking that supporting information is complete before confirming schedule and budgetary requirements for creating copy
  • Evaluate design and copy options against requirements of the creative brief and select information and images to be communicated within time and budgetary requirements
  • Create original copy with impact, which sets the product, service or idea being communicated apart from a competitor’s promotional material
  • Create copy which meets the requirements of the creative brief in terms of information, format, language, writing style, and level of detail
