Transitioning into a managerial position can be a daunting experience. Not only is there the new pressure of leadership, there is also the concern of how your relationships with your colleagues will change. The Mate to Manager short course explores the challenges and opportunities that are faced as individuals navigate the transition from contributing team member to team leader. With a focus on changing perspectives and adapting to your new role, participants explore strategies for crafting new relationships with their teams, peers, and superiors. They learn key skills for effectively managing themselves while successfully engaging with their teams, recognising the importance of building self-awareness as they establish themselves in their new position.
